Person and Education Sciences

The three-year doctoral programme aims to prepare for scientific research in the fields of pedagogical disciplines. The preparation makes use of diversified and assisted itineraries of personal investigation and moments of study and in-depth seminars relating to the following fields of investigation:

a) theoretical-institutional sector: in-depth study and exploration of foundational, socio-cultural, theoretical and epistemological issues inherent in different contexts of experience;

b) historical sector: critical analysis of research methodologies and carrying out investigations in the field of the history of pedagogy and education as well as children's literature;

c) methodological-didactic sector: critical knowledge and development of intervention projects in the fields of communication and teaching technologies, learning difficulties and marginality, in school and extracurricular contexts;

d) methodological-experimental sector: in-depth and critical acquisition of the procedures, methodologies and technologies of field investigation, in the openness to the emerging problems of education and training and in view of the mastery of the most up-to-date tools of research, elaboration and communication. Higher education, through research activities, in relation to the development and evaluation of processes and systems in the field of education and training and educational policies; high qualification, through research activities, in the field of articulation of differentiated forms of knowledge (theoretical, practical, methodological, etc.) interacting in educational and training contexts;

e) research sector on the topic HigherEducationInternationalization and Educational Strategies and Practices: identification of the main junctions, at national and international level, of the topic, development of national and international studies and surveys (working language: English)
