Course duration

The study of the agri-food system, which is increasingly complex today, requires new skills: the scientific-productive aspects must be integrated with the economic-legal aspects.

Interdisciplinarity is therefore a key element for future research in the agri-food system.

The School aims to train young researchers able to work in the various scientific and professional sectors, with articulated skills of analysis and interpretation of events, and who know how to combine technical and economic aspects with regulatory ones.

The intention is to prepare figures destined to operate at a high level:

  • in research
  • in international organizations
  • in the management and management system of companies, national and local authorities.

The establishment of the European Food Safety Agency in Parma and the activation at the Italian level of the CNSA - National Committee for Food Safety - will certainly be an opportunity for these professionals.

The Doctoral School will allow you to pursue two specific objectives:

  1. training for the completion of the skills of young people motivated to learn the methodologies for carrying out high-level research;
  2. management and development of innovative research with possible impact on the territory and induction of a virtuous system for the promotion of scientific research.
