CORSO DI DOTTORATO
Agro-Food System
Piacenza
The Campus
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is the most important Catholic university in Europe.
The Doctoral School for the agri-food system is located on the Piacenza-Cremona Campus.
A real Anglo-Saxon-style campus, with an 8,000-square-meter sports center and residential spaces for the reception of off-site students and professors. It is the Piacenza campus of Università Cattolica: together with the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, which excels in the quality of its research, it houses Economics and Law, a Faculty that stands out for its international network of the "Double Degree", and the undergraduate and graduate degree courses in Education Sciences, a Faculty of reference for the educational and social world.
A city of art and history, warm and welcoming, full of museums, churches, stately palaces and theaters, Piacenza is a city to be experienced and "enjoyed". Here, colors and places speak of an ancient Roman colony, medieval struggles, Renaissance splendour, refined collectors and sensitive patrons. But Piacenza and its province are a territory to be discovered also for the tradition and food and wine production.
A microcosm of knowledge and values that intersect on a Campus located in the centre of the Po Valley, in the heart of the Italian agri-food system, in an area characterised by cultural and productive liveliness.
This has been the Catholic University in Piacenza-Cremona for over sixty years. Large green spaces, areas for leisure and socialization. And above all , rationally designed environments, functional for the most advanced research and for the most effective teaching.
The atmosphere in the interpersonal relationships between the various university components makes the Piacenza-Cremona campus of Università Cattolica a particular reality in the universe of Italian universities and characterizes it as an authentic university campus.
