Reference bibliography
A relevant requirement to sit for the PhD admission exam consists in the possession of basic knowledge in the field of General Sociology and the methodology of social research, possibly also extended to particular areas of sociological investigation (such as Cultural Sociology and Economic, Work and Organization Sociology) and preferably related to previous university training. These entry skills concern the history and fundamental theoretical models of sociological thought, the main aspects of method, the central themes and categories of analysis developed or even emerging in the various fields of the discipline.
To verify and refine one's initial preparation for the entrance exam, it may be useful to consult volumes and "manuals" dedicated, in general, to the previous issues. By way of example, the following are indicated:
· A. Bagnasco, M. Barbagli, A. Cavalli (2012), Corso di Sociologia, Il Mulino, Bologna.
· R. Bichi (2022), Sociologia Generale, Vita e Pensiero, Milano.
· G. Bonazzi (2006), Come studiare le organizzazioni, Il Mulino, Bologna.
· F. Colombo, G. Gili (2012), Comunicazione, cultura e società, La Scuola, Brescia.
· A. Marradi, (2007), Metodologia delle scienze sociali, Il Mulino, Bologna.
· G. Ritzer (2012), Teoria sociologica. Radici classiche e sfide contemporanee, Apogeo, Milano.
