Admission

The candidate must indicate which of the addresses, visible on the PhD web page, he/she intends to compete for and with which of the School's languages of specialization.
Candidates must declare whether they intend to compete exclusively for a position without a scholarship.
Candidates must submit a summary report (max 10,000 characters – spaces included) in Italian on their studies and scientific interests, producing extensive documentation of their training and any scientific activity (it will be possible to attach the pdf of the thesis or any publications). In addition, he/she will have to deliver a description (max 12,000 characters - spaces included) of the research project he/she intends to carry out. You can also attach a cover letter from a university professor.
In the event of a positive evaluation of the documentation submitted, candidates will have to undergo an oral interview, in Italian, during which they will show that they are able to discuss the research topics they have dealt with in the context of their studies, as well as the project presented. Language skills in the languages indicated in the application will also be assessed by analysing and commenting (in a foreign language) on a foreign language text.

In relation to the qualities ascertained, the Selection Committee awards each candidate up to 60 points for the evaluation of qualifications and up to 60 points for the oral test.
Candidates who have obtained a score of at least 40/60 in the evaluation of qualifications are admitted to the oral test.
The interview is considered passed only if the candidate has obtained a score of at least 40/60.
At the end of the examination, the Selection Committee compiles the general merit ranking on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the individual parts.
To take the oral test, candidates must show a suitable identification document valid pursuant to art. 35, second paragraph of Presidential Decree no. 445 of 28 December 2000 (identity card, driving licence, passport).

Research topic: Higher Education Internationalisation and Educational Strategies and Practices
Admission includes the evaluation of the curriculum vitae et studiorum, the research project proposed by the candidate, a cover letter from a scientific or institutional referent. In the event of a positive evaluation of qualifications, the candidate will have to undergo an oral interview in English. All documentation must be in English. Facsimile of the research project can be downloaded from the website.
