The Doctorate in Basic Biomedical Sciences and Public Health is typically multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, so the Academic Board has decided to define programmatic research guidelines that can better identify the specificities related to the Doctorate itself. These research lines are periodically discussed and updated within the Board in order to try to maintain a certain attractiveness towards potential doctoral students, without distorting the scientific experiences gained by the individual researchers involved in this project.
For this reason, the proposed courses are:
- Molecular Medical Genetics
- Tools for risk assessment and management in the context of occupational exposure to new technologies
- Public Health and Health Systems
- Epidemiological Methodology
- Forensic Toxicology
- Studies of biological samples using proteomic platforms
- Study and characterization of the determinants of microbial pathogenicity
- Identification and molecular characterization of determinants of antimicrobial resistance
- Molecular Genetics, Clinical, Epidemiology, and Forensic Implications of Sudden Cardiac Deaths
- Genetics of human populations and its forensic applications
- Safety, Ethical Evaluation of Research, and Humanization of Healthcare Organizations
