Nutrition, Metabolism, Ageing and Gender-related Pathologies

The general aim of the PhD programme is to train research personnel with high professional qualifications such as to make it possible for them to be included in research in both the public and private sectors. To this end, the Doctorate intends to prepare young researchers who are able to carry out research in the fields of study of this Doctorate autonomously and with a broad and non-sectoral scientific culture that can allow them an adequate entry into the labor market and their inclusion in national and international research institutions. The final aim is to train professionals able to face, with a critical sense and autonomy, the various diagnostic and experimental problems necessary for the study of the pathologies covered by this Doctorate.
In particular, the Doctorate offers the following fields of study, within which graduates from both the medical and biological fields are admitted in order to encourage maximum interdisciplinarity
1. Gastroenterological and Nutritional Address.
2. Endocrine-metabolic address.
3. Gerontological and Geriatric address.
4. Specialization in Medical-Surgical Pathologies.
