Interdisciplinary training
The implementation of these training courses - in line with the European and national recommendations on the development of doctoral education (in 2011 the European Commission defined "Transferable Skills" as one of the 7 principles that make up the so-called "Principles of Innovative Doctoral Training" and called on university institutions to integrate them into their growth strategies) - offers PhD students the opportunity to cultivate a series of specific skills in addition to knowledge and, more generally, guarantees support to develop one's potential.
Distance learning and interactive workshops allow you to acquire various types of skills:
- To develop and strengthen the strategic skills of doctoral students.
- To support PhD students in the transition to future professional careers, inside and outside the University, by strengthening their employability.
- To increase awareness of the role and perspectives of the doctorate in the knowledge society.
- Encourage dialogue and disciplinary contamination.
- To foster networking between PhD students from different disciplinary fields.
- Promoting innovation and creative thinking.
- Courses are not compulsory, even if the individual doctoral courses have the full right to make the courses compulsory.
- Free or partial/full coverage of registration costs.
- System synergies and collaborations within the University (SeLdA, Library System, Pastoral Centre, Doctoral Schools, Graduate Schools) and external (Chamber of Commerce).
- Multifaceted teaching methods: the courses are characterized by a high degree of interactivity. Lectures, presentations, workshops, exercises, testimonies will alternate.
